Claiming that mischief makers have uploaded a false video to tarnish their reputation, Max Muller Public School registered a complaint with the cyber crime police.

In her complaint to City Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar, Hemalatha Janardhan, who heads the administration board, said some mischief makers circulated the video of an accident at school and are spreading rumours.

During the school's function in February 2016, a pole had fallen on students, injuring two of them.

A complaint was registered and a report explaining the incident was sent to the education department.

Hemalatha had stated that the video was wrongly captioned as "nine persons died; six injured" and circulated on WhatsApp. She said the school has been performing creditably for the past 15 years and urged action against those spreading the video.
