A class IX girl has won appreciation from her school authorities after she presented to the authorities a gold ring worn by Industries Minister R V Deshpande, that had fallen off the latter's finger.
Deshpande had taken part in the inauguration of a new classroom at the Akkamahadevi government girls' high school on December 29. The girl, Soundarya Rama Nagatri, had picked the gold ring that had fallen off Deshpande's finger, while leaving after the programme.
The girl, hailing from Ammanakoppa village on Sunday, presented the ring to the authorities, so that it can be given back to the minister.
