BJP leaders warns producers against casting Sunny Leone

Last Updated 05 December 2017, 14:29 IST

Senior Haryana BJP leader Sural Amu, who recently announced a Rs 10 crore bounty for beheading Padmavati actor Deepika Padukone and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali,  on Tuesday dared directors to cast former porn star Sunny Leone as a Hindu deity in films.

He drew an uncanny parallel trying to suggest the dangers attached to the offensive representation of facts in films by Bollywood directors. "Sunny Leone is the daughter of Punjab and settled abroad. Would we ever tolerate Sunny Leone  portraying a Hindu goddess in films," he asked.

The BJP leader, who recently resigned as chief media coordinator of the state unit of the party, did not spare Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on the Padmavati controversy saying, "Capt thuk ke chata hai" (spits and then licks).

He accused  Singh of going back on his words on the release of the controversial movie. Amu also said he would hold a massive rally on December 9 in Panchkula take forward his fight to  ban the movie.

The motormouth BJP leader even trained his guns at former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah using derogatory utterances against him. "Farooq Abdullah is an illegitimate child of Pakistan. I will unfurl the national flag at Srinagar's Lal Chowk since Farooq Abdullah has now dared anyone to unfurl the tricolour there," he said.
