JOIN USGlobal IT services, consulting and business solution organisation, Tata Consultancy Services announced that Girish Ramachandran, president, TCS Asia Pacific, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), a leading worldwide sustainability reporting organisation based in Amsterdam.
Ramachandran said that it is a great honor to join the GRI Board of Directors and be a part of this illustrious organisation and their extremely important agenda to drive better sustainability practices worldwide.
"I am also very proud to represent TCS and the Tata Group on the board, as we are fully committed to being global leaders in sustainability practices, a mandate that is part of the Tata Code of Conduct, and is an integral element of our corporate DNA," he said in a statement.
GRI is an independent international organisation that has pioneered sustainability reporting since 1997.
GRI helps businesses and governments worldwide understand and communicate their impact on critical sustainability issues such as climate change, human rights, governance and social well-being.
The GRI Board of Directors is the ultimate decision-making authority. It has the legal and fiduciary responsibility for the organisation and promotes change towards a sustainable global economy and increasing corporate transparency and accountability.
