Piles of garbage in HRBR Layout

Piles of garbage in HRBR Layout
The vacant space and roads in 1st Block of HRBR Layout, Banaswadi, have become dumping yards. Mounds of garbage lying at several places in the area are posing health hazards to residents. Diseases like dengue, swine flu and typhoid are on the rise. The foul smell of rotting garbage has made our lives miserable.
BBMP workers do not lift garbage on a regular basis. The BBMP should take stringent action against  people who dump garbage on roads and vacant spaces. The local body should also ensure garbage is lifted on a daily basis.

Reckless Metro work near Silk Board  Jn
Initial work has begun between Central Silk Board Junction and BTM Layout for the Metro line. But BMRCL officials do not seem to have taken any precautionary measures for the safety of pedestrians.
Half of the road is occupied  by barricades and there is no space for pedestrians on the entire stretch. They are forced to walk on the busy Outer Ring Road, endangering their lives. Please bring this matter to the attention of the officials concerned and help save innocent lives.

Fix clogged drains
Clogged drains in Kalanagar, 8th Cross, KG Halli, drove sewage-mixed rainwater into five homes on three occasions in September. There are several places in Ward Number 12 (Shettihalli) where drains have virtually disappeared, leading to repeated flooding. We complained several times to the BBMP through snail mail, online and phone calls, but no action has been taken

Waste pile not cleared in ISRO Layout
A truck filled with garbage, both biodegradable and non-biodegradable, was found dumped at 3rd Main  in ISRO Layout (Ward 181) on October 9. When contacted, ward officials pointed the finger at the garbage contractor of the adjacent locality. It has been more than a week and BBMP officials have not bothered to remove it despite repeated phone calls.
The unbearable stench, coupled with pigs and dogs, is inconveniencing residents. There is also a stormwater outlet near the dump which gets blocked by the garbage due to rain if it is not cleared immediately. While taking office, the mayor said he would take effective steps for garbage management. We request him to visit this place and see for himself what the ground reality is.

Kerala, TN trains must stop at Baiyappanahalli
All trains bound for Kerala and Tamil Nadu and originating  in KSR (Bengaluru City), Yeshwantpur and Banaswadi railway stations via Hosur should stop at Baiyapanahalli for the convenience of a large number of passengers from the surrounding areas.
This will reduce congestion at the originating stations and help passengers who can easily access the Metro and BMTC buses from here. Will the railways consider the request?

Cattle in peril on roads
With Bengaluru's traffic already anarchic, the stray cattle on roads add further despair, which not only causes inconvenience to road users but also poses a great danger to innocent animals since any mishap puts them in permanent jeopardy. The BBMP must wake up before the animals are harmed, inadvertently or otherwise.
