More than 100 have been robbed by the gang in less than a week. However, jurisdictional market police are yet to take action.

Locals from Khade Bazaar complained that incidents of people being looted by the gang during midnight and later hours are being heard. Some have recorded the gang looting persons and informed the police personnel on night rounds. But no case was registered as victims were asked to approach the police station in the morning.

Persons coming from bus-stand or going towards it are targeted by the gang which threatens and beats them up before making away with cash, gold ornament and cell phones from their possession. The gang gets away either on foot or on a white colour scooter, locals said.

In a video shot on a cell phone, gang members are seen using language that appears dakhani dialect spoken by the locals and threatening a person walking towards Shaniwar Khoot. They make away with the cell phone and cash and proceed towards bus-stand/Khanjar Galli.

A trader said, recently, after one such incident they waited for patrol van of police and apprised them. In the meantime, another vehicle arrived and after discussing jurisdictional limits, they left asking the victim to report to the police station in the morning.
