JOIN USKaleshappa MG of Sri KV College of Physical Education (KVCPE) and Anitha NL of Govt First Grade College (GFGC), Srinivaspur clinched the 10000 metres gold in the men's and women's sections respectively in the Bangalore University 53rd inter-collegiate athletics championship at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium here on Wednesday.
In the men's section, Kaleshappa completed the race in 36:45.4 to finish ahead of Tabres Khan N (38:07.5) of Al-Ameen College and Manu V (40:23.5) of GFGC, Kodihalli.
Anitha clocked 48:17.3 .to take top honours in the women's category. Vinu B of KVCPE in 50:02.1 came second while Shilpa M of GFGC, Bangarpet claimed the third spot in 50:49.5.
Rajesh MR of Kristu Jayanthi College timed 18.7 seconds to win gold in the men's 110M hurdles.
PK Tejeswini of UVCE BU in 17.5 seconds came first in the women's 100M hurdles.
