JOIN USRain has continued to wreak havoc at many places in the state. Heavy showers lashed the districts of Tumakuru, Kolar and Chikkaballapur from Monday night to Tuesday morning. As many as 110 houses collapsed in Kolar district due to the downpour. More than 20 houses came down due to the showers in Tumakuru city.
Two boulders rolled down a hillock and blocked the Tumakuru-Devarayanadurga Road near the Namada Chilume due to heavy rain, throwing traffic out of gear.

A 28-year-old nurse working at the general hospital was struck dead by lightning during heavy rain at Devadurga in Raichur district on Monday night. The victim, Neelamma Sangappa, was on her way home from work when the incident occurred.
