Padikkal does star turn for KSCA

 Devdutt Padikkal struck a quick-fire century as Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) romped to a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Goa Cricket Association in the under-19 zonal league tournament for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy at Alur (1) ground here.

Batting first, Goa were skittled for 185 in 38 overs. Rahul Mehta was the lone bright spark in Goa’s innings with a fighting 77. For KSCA, Ruchir Joshi (3/39), Manoj Bhandage (2/41) and Aman Khan (2/41) shared bowling spoils.

In response, KSCA breezed to victory in just 31.4 overs with Padikkal striking an unbeaten 106 off just 103 balls, studded with eight fours and five sixes.

At Alur (3): Andhra: 124 all out in 26 overs (SMD Rafi 29, K Deeban Lingesh 3-26, U Mukilesh 3-28) bt Tamil Nadu Cricket Association: 115/7 in 26 overs (Aditya Barooah 25, Praveen Kumar P 38). (Match reduced to 26 overs per side).
