Jitendra J Jadhav, director of Bengaluru-based National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), a constituent organisation of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has once again been given additional charge as the director of Mysuru-based CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI). Jadhav took charge on September 25.
The CSIR had transferred Ram Rajasekharan, who was the director of CFTRI, to its headquarters (New Delhi) as director (special projects and initiatives) on August 25. The CSIR had given Jadhav the additional charge of CSIR-CFTRI. Rajasekharan returned as director of CFTRI on September 8, after the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) stayed his transfer to New Delhi. But the High Court of Karnataka has stayed the CAT order, following an appeal by the CSIR.
Rajasekharan was appointed as the CSIR-CFTRI director on July 18, 2012, for a six-year term.
