Rowdy commits suicide by stabbing himself

A history-sheeter committed suicide by stabbing himself in Srirampuram on Sunday.

The deceased Aravind (34), was a resident of Srirampuram and the reason for taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, said the police.

Aravind was a daily wage worker. He had stopped going to work for the past few days. He would come home in an inebriated state every day.

“Aravind’s wife had an argument with him as he returned drunk on Sunday night. In a fit of anger, he ransacked the house. The wife threatened to go to her parents’ house if he failed to reform himself,” said a police officer.

He entered the kitchen, stabbed himself repeatedly and fell down crying. He was shifted to KC General Hospital where he died later.

He was involved in four criminal cases, said the police.
