As a part of the ongoing nine-day Brahmotsavams at Tirumala on Sunday, the Lord Malayappa Swamy as Lord Sri Krishna took an elegant ride on the five hooded serpent King Chinna Sesha Vahanam.

It is said that during Samudra Madhanam episode, when the deities and demons were churning the milk ocean for divine nectar, they used Serpent Vasuki as rope. By taking a ride on this vehicle, the Lord enlightens pilgrims, that in spite of his mightiness, Vasuki Naga remained humble and patient for a good cause while Devatas and Asuras were churning the milk ocean using him as rope. So it gives a clear message that it is not our mightiness that makes us great but our patience and politeness.

Meanwhile, TTD executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal addressing 2000 strong Srivari Sevakulu (Volunteers) said that the motto behind the introduction of Srivari Seva is to provide services to fellow pilgrims He said, that the Sevakulu are doing impeccable services. "But still more is expected from you and you should be able to give 100 per cent devoted services to the pilgrims", he maintained. Adding further the EO said, the recently introduced services in Vaikuntham queue complex like Help Desk, milk distribution, survey, providing medicines to pilgrims etc. are yielding good results.

The Srivari Seva should become a movement and it should reach the level of a "Seva Village" soon, said Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju. The JEO said that a new building at a cost of Rs.70 crores is coming up exclusively for sevakulu. To encourage youth, the employed and educated section also the TTD is introducing three-day, four-day services from November on wards. Every day there is orientation classes by Sri Satya Sai Seva Organization to enhance the quality of services by Sevakulu, he added.
