Last Updated 23 September 2017, 19:56 IST
Maico Monteiro’s strike in the fourth quarter helped Chennai Singhams record  5-4 win over Kerala Cobras in their final league game of Premier Futsal at the Koramangala indoor stadium here on Saturday.

In a game that saw the balance tilt till the very last minute, it were the Singhams who held their nerves to squeeze a late winner and garner all three points in a rather inconsequential game of the night.

Phan Khac Chi was the first to find the back of the net for the Corbras with a delightful goal in the eighth minute. The lead however didn’t stay for long as Singhams responded with their ‘Legend’ Hernan Crespo scoring two minutes later.

Tigers in semis

The Telugu Tigers were on the aggressive side in the second match of the day, against home team Bengaluru Royals and won 3-2. Delhi Dragons and Telugu Tigers have qualified for semis.

Results: Chennai Singhams: 5 (Hernan Crespo 10th, Maico Monteiro 12th, Unues Pasha 18th, Fredsan Marshall 28th, Maico Monteiro 32nd) bt Kerala Cobras: 4 (Phan Chi 8th, Mohammed Aslam 11th, Raphael Mathias 19th, Ton Phi 27th).
