Vinay BC bagged a six-wicket haul to set up Sri Kumaran Children's Home's 66-run victory over St John's High School in a low-scoring encounter in the under-16 Group I, Division III, inter-school tournament for the KSCA Cup here.
Batting first, Sri Kumaran batsmen produced a shoddy effort and were bundled out for 151 in 45.5 overs. Rahul, with three for 18, was the most successful bowler for St John's while Abhishek Sharma (2/40) and Abhishek T (2/22) bagged two wickets apiece.
With a paltry total to defend, Sri Kumaran were helped by Vinay's fine show of six for 30 as St John's were skittled out for a mere 85 in 19.3 overs.
