Lingayat row: HDK seeks MB Patil's apology

JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday demanded that Water Resources Minister M B Patil issue a public apology for dragging the Siddaganga Mutt into the separate Lingayat religion controversy.

“It is unforgivable that Patil used the name of Shivakumara Swamiji on this issue. I don’t know if I should call it an unmatched achievement,” Kumaraswamy said.

“Shivakumara swamiji is known as Nadedaduva Devaru (the walking God). Patil has committed the most worst possible act. He should publicly apologise,” he said.
