It was fun and frolic for kids who displayed their talent as Krishna on the occasion of the two-day Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations.

Interlacing synchronisation, love, peace, happiness and brotherhood into different forms of art, more than hundred children dressed like Lord Krishna, Radha and Gopikas, had a wonderful time on the occasion.

It is a unique platform that offered children an opportunity to recreate the story of Lord Krishna from a young age. A series of interesting incidents in the life of Lord Krishna were some of the topics for little kids to synchronise their steps.

The competitions were held in three categories upto 3 years, 3-5 and 3-8. The competitions were held at Rajnagana, Madhwa Mantap and Annabrahma hall. All the three places were recreated to depict the reincarnation of Nandagokula. Little Krishnas were found wandering and the ambiance was truely enthralling and vibrant.

Paryaya Pejawar Mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swami performed ‘Arghya Pradhana’ ritual at 12.30 am amidst the chanting of spiritual chants, hymns and discourses to the Lord inside the sanctum sanctorum.

Newborn Krishna

Earlier, the seer performed ‘Tulsi Archana’ to Lord Krishna, who was decorated in the form of kneeling Krishna as a newborn child. As the Chaturmayasa was over, all the seers from the Asta mutts took part in the ‘Arghya Pradhana’ ritual along with the Paryaya seer. In the morning, the Lord was decorated with a diamond armour.

‘Mahapooja’ followed the Arghya Pradhana. The seer later performed Tulsi Archana to Tulsi Vrindavana. He offered Mahapooja and Arghya Pradhana to Tulsi Vrindavana inside the temple premises, following which the devotees were allowed to perform Arghya Pradhana ritual to Lord Krishna outside the sanctum sanctorum in front of the mantap.
