Southern Railways cancels Bengaluru Cantonment-Guwahati express

The southern railways here on Tuesday announced that Bengaluru Cantonment – Guwahati (via Chennai Central) Express, scheduled to leave at 11.40 pm on Wednesday and Thursday has been cancelled due to heavy rains and flooding of railway tracks in north-east frontier railway.

Similarly, Chennai Egmore – Nagapattinam special fare special train, scheduled to leave at 8.20 pm on September 7, has been cancelled, railway spokes person D. Om Prakash Narayan said here.

The southern railways also announced a special train from Velankanni to Panvel on September 9. Accordingly, Velankanni – Panvel special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 9.45 am this Saturday. The train will reach Panvel at 7.55 pm on the next day.

The train stops at Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Pollachi, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kozhikkode, Kannur, Mangalore Jn., Suratkal, Mulki, Udupi, Kundapura, Bhatkal, Honnavar, Kumta, Karwar, Madgaon, Karmali, Thivim, Pernem, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Kankavali, Vilavade, Ratnagiri, Sangameshwar, Chiplun, Khed, Mangaon and Roha.
