JOIN USUnion Labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Tuesday said the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) will link the provident fund members’ Universal Account Number with Aadhaar.
He was speaking after taking part in a Tiranga Yatra organised by the EPFO along with Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda. He said linking of the bank account, IFSC code and mobile number also needs to be done with the Universal Account Number.
He also spoke about the prime minister’s vision of ‘Housing for All by 2022’, and said he hoped all members of the EPFO have their own houses by the time they retire.
EPFO has also simplified its online filing of Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) and has also introduced multi-banking payment through Internet banking facility under Ease of Doing Business.
