Enjoy luxury on Golden Chariot train for Rs 25K this Dasara

The Tourism Department and the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) are offering a special tour package on board the luxury tourist train Golden Chariot during the upcoming Dasara festival.

The Dasara Special Package (two nights and one day) will be offered on September 23 and 29. Tickets are priced at Rs 25,000 for Indians and Rs 40,000 for foreigners. The train will depart from the Yeshwantpur railway station. Up to 88 passengers can travel in each trip.

The KSTDC will offer curated royal walks for guests to explore the heritage of Mysuru. They will also get golden passes to experience the Dasara cultural programmes held in front of the Mysore Palace. This is the second straight year when short-haul trips are being offered on Karnataka’s own luxury tourist train. Tourism Minister Priyank Kharge described it as a “unique opportunity” for tourists to travel on the luxury train during Dasara at subsidised rates.
