Delhi Dons and Bengaluru Buddies recorded narrow victories to make their way into the semifinals of the Indian Cue Masters League here on Wednesday.

Pankaj Advani’s Chennai Strikers were the first to book their place in the last four with 13 points in their kitty. Gujarat Kings completed the knockout lineup, despite losing to the Dons.

It all came down to the last fixture of the Round Robin, with only Bengaluru Buddies seeming to be safe. Hyderabad Hustlers had to play off their skins.

Their duo from Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Chawla and Amee Kamani, led their side as they beat the Bengaluru pair of Darren Morgan and Anastasia Nechaeva in straight frames (26-5, 23-12) in the Mixed Snooker Doubles. Hyderabad’s Icon player Amir Sarkhosh failed to get it past Sundeep Gulati in the Pool Singles.

In the Doubles 9-ball Pool encounter, Varun Madan and Anastasia Nechaeva cruised to a straight frames victory against Amee Kamani and Lucky Vatnani to put Bengaluru 2-1 ahead.
In the Icon clash, Sarkhosh started off by racking the first frame up but Welshman Darren Morgan stormed home in the last two frames to the delight of Gujarat’s fans.
