The Billava Sangha, Kuwait, will distribute scholarships worth Rs 6.10 lakh to 100 students with economically poor background, at Sri Vishwanath Kalyana Mantapa of Sri Gokarnanatha Kshethra in Mangaluru on August 20.
Briefing reporters here, Sangha adviser Sathish Kunder said that the scholarships are distributed to selected students who are pursuing postgraduate, engineering, diploma, law, degree, PUC and trade courses.
Last year, 88 underprivileged deserving students were given scholarships worth Rs 5.40 lakh. Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra president H S Sairam will inaugurate the programme.
