Cooperative society manager found dead mysteriously

A cooperative society manager was found dead mysteriously in his car on Wednesday.

 The deceased Muniyappa (55) was a resident of R T Nagar and used to work as manger at Sudha Cooperative Society, Amruthalli branch.

He was missing since Monday afternoon (August 14). Members of his family had lodged a missing complaint with the R T Nagar on Tuesday.

It is not known whether Muniyappa committed suicide or was murdered. Members of his family, however, claimed that Muniyappa was killed over financial issues.

 Muniyappa's wife Mamatha in the complaint suspected involvement of Tilak and his associates in her husband's murder.

 Based on the complaint, the police booked Tilak and his associates for the murder and detained them for interrogation. It is, however, not clear what was the dispute between the Muniyappa and Tilak.

 Muniyappa had worked as the manager of the Society's Kengeri branch for five years. He was transferred to Amruthalli branch about four months ago.

 "He went out of his house on Monday afternoon to Kengeri branch. He met his colleagues there and went away, " said the police inspector.

It was not known where he headed from Kengeri, added the inspector.

 He did not return home till late night. Moreover, is mobile phone was off.

Smelling fore play in the incident, Muniyappa's family members lodged a missing complaint with the R T Nagar police.

 A few local residents noticed a body lying in rear seat of a car parked close to bridge, Shivanalli, near Kanteerava studio, Ring Road around 11.30 am. They called up the police control room and informed.

 The body was shifted to a hospital for post mortem.
