The High Court of Karnataka on Wednesday directed Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to conduct an extended counselling for the linguistic minority students whose applications for first year MBBS had been rejected because of errors in their documents.
A division bench comprising Justice Jayant Patel and Justice S Sujatha directed one of the Telugu linguistic minority students to rectify the error in the documents and apply for the course.
In another petition, the bench said that if the student has not mentioned any details under the linguistic minority category in the online application, then such applications cannot be entertained.
