A woman job aspirant and her family helped the police trap a fraud in Bengaluru who had allegedly duped around 45 women from Madikeri by giving them offer letters of reputable multinational companies.

The suspect Ganesh and his associate Impana had conducted campus interviews at two colleges in Madikeri and hired 45 women recently. After the interviews, the duo issued offer letters after taking Rs 10,000 from each of them.

They then brought the women to a paying guest accommodation in Marathahalli. Two days ago, one of the women called up Ganesh to check on the status of the job. Ganesh asked her to come to a private hospital for a medical test. Suspecting foul play, the victim called the company for confirmation. They told her that they neither hired any recruiters nor had they issued offer letters to anybody. The woman alerted her parents who filed a complaint with Madikeri police.
