JOIN USChristy R led the batting charge with an unbeaten century to power Bangalore Occasionals to a massive 225-run victory over Swastic Union Cricket Club (1) in the KSCA Group I, Division I, II, III, inter-club (under-19) tournament here.
Christy slammed 110 not out while Varun struck 70 as Occasionals posted a strong 333/5 in 50 overs. Cameos from Shreehari (42) and Prithvi Sadanand played a part in putting their total past the 300-run mark.
On the back of fine bowling performances from Rohit Kumar (4/35) and Rohit SSG (3/43), Occasionals then ran through the Swastic Union batting line-up and bundled them out for 108 in 32 overs.
In another tie, Aditya (5/32) bagged a five-for to set up Jawahar Sports Club’s (1) eight-wicket victory over Bangalore Cricketers. Aditya’s exploits skittled Bangalore for 51 in 19 overs and Jawahar SC knocked out the target in 8.2 overs.
