KSCA XI pile up huge total

Mir Kaunain Abbas struck a century as KSCA XI compiled a mammoth total against Assam Cricket Association in the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappiah memorial tournament at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Sunday.

After R Samarth had laid the platform with a sublime 124, Abbas stepped up with an innings of 137 from 215 balls as KSCA declared at 605 for seven from 143.5 overs.
Stuart Binny and skipper CM Gautam chipped in with knocks of 57 and 54 not out respectively.

Assam, in response, were in a spot of bother having lost half their side for just 90 runs. Ronit More (2/33) and J Suchith (2/8) were the most effective bowlers for KSCA on the second day of the fixture.
