Vajradehi Mutt seer wants to share vital info with NIA

'Open its centre in Mangaluru'

Gurpur Vajradehi Mutt seer Sri Rajashekharananda Swami urged the government to establish a centre of National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Mangaluru to curb terror activities in the district.

Addressing media persons at Pattumudi Soudha in the city on Friday, he said the threat to the district has increased as ISIS is active in the nearby Kerala and Bhatkal.

“The Hindu society always wants peace. But the external forces have always been creating a provocative situation. The role of extremists from Kerala was found in the recent stone pelting incident during the funeral procession of RSS worker Sharath Madiwala in Bantwal. But, instead of curbing such forces, the state government has been indirectly supporting them by not lodging cases against the accused,” he observed.

The seer said that he was present during the funeral of Sharath and his car was also stoned. Instead of lodging cases against the stone throwers, the police have lodged murder attempt cases against the Hindu leaders. In reality, there were no attempts of murder at all, he said.

The seer called the act by the government as a part of conspiracy to stifle the voice of Hindu outfits. He said that he is in possession with a very important evidence in this connection and he will reveal it to the National Investigation Agency only. “If it is revealed to anyone, it may be tampered with,” he said.

He demanded an NIA probe into the case and added that he will write to the government and the Union home minister in this regard.

He questioned why the death of Sharath was announced 20 hours late. Immediately before this, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah arrived in Mangaluru for his party’s conference, but did not take care to conduct a peace meeting, he criticised.

The seer also said that he is disappointed for not inviting the seers from Hindu religion to the peace committee meeting conducted by the district administration on Thursday.
