Stir a success: Petroleum dealers' forum

Last Updated 05 July 2017, 19:20 IST

The All India Petroleum Dealers’ Association claimed that its nation-wide call for no purchase of fuel from oil marketing companies on Wednesday was successful.

The strike was called to protest against the implementation of Dynamic Price Policy (DPC) which is leading to a heavy loss to the petroleum dealers. Karnataka State Federation of Petroleum Dealers president H S Manjappa said that the first phase of the protest was a great success in Karnataka with most terminals recording zero sales. “We hope the oil marketing companies realise the impact it (the strike) has made and accede to our justful demand of price protection due to DPC,” Manjappa said.
