Senior BJP leader Ghanshyam Tiwari today took out a protest march in Jaipur against Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. But both Tiwari and his supporters were prevented by the police on Sunday from staging a protest in front of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s residence 13, Civil Lines,  in Jaipur.

Tiwari was accompanied by hundreds of followers from the Deendayal Vahini, an organisation founded by him. Subsequently, he and his supporters raised anti-Raje slogans at Sodala. Tiwari also squatted on the road demanding the chief minister to vacate the 13, Civil Lines Bungalow. Subsequently, he and his supporters were dispersed from the spot by the police.

Tiwari who alleged police for detaining him said, "I was not allowed to sit outside CMs house for dharna. It was a peaceful protest. Whatever I am doing, its for the interest of people". However, Jaipur Police Commissioner Sanjay Agarwal said, "Tiwari was taken back to his official residence at Jalupura. He was leading a rally from his Shyam Nagar residence towards Civil Lines, where CrPC section 144 was imposed. We did not arrest him."

Earlier Senior BJP leader had given an ultimatum to Raje that she should either should vacate 13, Civil Lines and move to official CM residence 8, Civil Lines or face satyagraha. Tiwari who has several times opposed the bill in the Assembly has called the move as an attempt to implement "feudalism" in Rajasthan.

Tiwari, MLA from Sanganer constituency, has been criticising Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and the BJP leadership even after notices were served to him last month by the party’s national disciplinary committee. The senior MLA has already announced that he will not accept the present state leadership and has hinted at walking on a different path.
