Rowdy detained under Goonda Act

The police on Thursday detained Jagadish alias Tami, a notorious history-sheeter, for one year under the Goonda Act.

Jagadish, a resident of Domlur, has a history sheet in his name at the Basaveshwaranagar police station, and is involved in 13 criminal cases including three murders, two extortion cases, robbery, kidnapping and assault.

Jagadish had failed to reform himself even after being imprisoned several times. He used to obtain bail and resume criminal activities after coming out of the jail.
The police have detained five rowdies under the Act since January 2017.
