Intermittent showers lash parts of Karnataka

Intermittent rain lashed several parts of the state on Friday.

Malnad region received rain in the morning and noon. It rained intermittently in Shivamogga, Bhadravathi, Sagar, Hosanagar, Thirthahalli and Shikaripur.

There was intermittent rain in Dakshina Kannada throughout the day while it drizzled in parts of Kodagu.

It rained for an hour in Napoklu, Bhagamandala and Talacauvery.

Uttara Kannada district recorded a rainfall of 127.4 mm till 8 am on Friday. Sirsi, Mundgod and Yellapur received rain towards evening while there was intermittent rain for the whole day in Karwar, Siddapur, Haliyal and Dandeli.

Hosapete and surrounding areas received light rain for around two hours in the noon. The showers brought the mercury down. There were reports of rain in Hampi, Kamalapur, Venkatapur, Kallahalli, Hosur, Basavanadurga, Ramasagara and Dharmasagara of the taluk. Agricultural activities in the taluk have picked up pace following rain for three consecutive days.
