Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Tuesday said that the situation in Kashmir is under control and one of the reasons for the unrest in the valley is the Wahabism that has spread in last one decade, prior to 2014.

Minister who was in Jaipur on Tuesday spoke media outside the BJP headquarters. Commenting on the situation in Kashmir, he said that Kashmir which was known for its Sufism all over the world has shifted towards Wahabism in last one decade, which is said to be one of the causes of unrest in the valley. "Prior to 2014, one decade at a stretch Wahhabism has spread in Kashmir valley and which is the main cause of unrest. But now things are under control and Army has done its job nicely."

While praising the Modi government he said that the Army is working independently to tackle any situation in Kashmir and all over India. "Under PM Modi, Army doesn't have to look back towards New Delhi to take any decision, they use their power and act smart. Camera shows only the stone pelting and people who see it on their TV sets,  believe it. Media houses should report on other aspects as well." Rathore said.
