Zakir Musa says Indian Muslims are spineless, war not confined to Kashmir

Urges Indian Muslims to join jihad for 'Ghazwa-e-Hind'

While urging Indian Muslims to join Islamic Jihad for 'Ghazwa-e-Hind' (the final and last battle for the conquest of India), former commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Zakir Musa has reiterated that the war was not just limited to Kashmir. He also called Indian Muslims spineless.

In a 4-minute audio clip released on social networking sites, Musa urged Indian Muslims to “stand up against oppression” and launch the jihad against ‘gau rakshaks’ (cow protectors). “It's a war between Islam and the infidels,” he declared in his first direct address to Indian Muslims.

Against a black al-Qaeda banner, with a world map added along with and two Kalashnikovs rifles emblazoned on two sides, Musa spoke in Kashmiri-accented Urdu. The militant commander goes on to talk about a reported rape of a Muslim woman in Bijnor.  “It is shameful that Indian Muslims are spineless and don’t act against the perpetrators of such crimes,” he said.

“Indian Muslims are most unconscionable and have forgotten about the battle of Badr. My blood boils when I see Muslims being attacked by Gau Rakshaks and Indian Muslims must form groups to take part in the conquest of Hind,” he says.

Musa then quotes the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and recalls ‘Gazwa-e-Hind’. “Our beloved Prophet has assured Jannat (heaven) to those who participate in the conquest of Hind,” he says.

Musa, who had taken over as Hizbul chief after its previous commander, Burhan Wani, was killed by security forces in an encounter on July 8, 2016, had stirred up a hornet’s nest last month when he threatened to chop off heads of those separatist leaders who claim the Kashmir struggle as political and not Islamic.

Consequently, Hizbul commanders based in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir termed his statement as “unacceptable” and termed it as his “personal opinion”. Following the snub, Musa disassociated from the militant outfit.
A senior police officer confirmed that it was Musa’s voice.
