“Rohan should be getting first prize, as he is only 15-year-old,” said Menon, who is yet to join for his graduation this year. Rohan has been practising solving rubix cube for the past two years; Menon is into it for seven years.

“I have been competing with my friends in solving rubix cube puzzle,” said Menon. His mother Priya Menon said that he uses rubix cube as stress buster. “Whenever he is tired from classes, he comes back and solves the rubix cube puzzle,” she said.

The third place was secured by Rishabh Tamhane, who studies at IIT-Kanpur. Rishabh said he was on his way to watch a movie when he heard about the contest.

Landmark, along with Funskool has been conducting rubix cube championship for the past three years. Fifty-five participants in 9-20 age group took part in the competition.

“The competition is about not age but being able to take the pressure at that time,” said Vijay Bhaskar, operations manager of Landmark.
