JOIN USTop seeds in the men’s and women’s categories –– Raghu M and Ruth Misha V –– sailed into the final of the Malanad State-ranking badminton tournament on Saturday.
In the men’s singles semifinals, Raghu toppled fifth seed Abilash 21-14, 21-18 to set up a final date with Sai Prateek K who ousted second seed Nikhil Shyam Sriram 23-21, 21-18 in the other semifinal.
It was a smooth sailing for Ruth as well as she booked her final berth with a 21-15, 21-18 victory over third seed Meghana Anil Kulkarni. The top seed will face RN savita in the final after the second seed beat Prerana NS 21-17, 21-9 in her last-four clash.
