JOIN USKriti Bharadwaj and Karnika Sree bagged a grand double at the Talent Hunt Sub-junior State-ranking badminton tournament here on Tuesday.
The top seed Kriti prevailed over second seed Tanya Hemanth 21-18, 21-19 to clinch the under-15 girls’ singles title. Kriti then teamed up with Tanya to drub Janani Ananthakumar and Shruti Moghe 21-14, 21-13 in the doubles summit clash.
In the U-13 section, Karnika beat Riddhi Shah 16-21, 21-19, 21-6 in a tough singles final.
Karnika triumphed in the doubles as well as she teamed up with Gayathri Rani Jaiswal to down Anannya Joishy and Neysa Cariappa 21-17, 21-17.
In the title clash of the boys’ under-15 singles, second seed Naresn S Iyer beat top seed Saneeth DS 21-11, 21-16.
