'Harassed' KAS officer meets Chief Secretary

KAS officer K Mathai met Chief Secretary Subhash Chandra Khuntia on Monday and complained against senior IAS officers of harassment.

He also submitted a request for protection from false implications by senior officers. A few days ago, Mathai who is presently posted as administrative officer-cum-under secretary, Sakala Mission, had complained against senior IAS officers - M Lakshminarayana, T K Anil Kumar, E V Ramana Reddy and G Kalpana, to the Lokayukta.

He had said that these officials not only withheld his salary for eight months but also delayed his promotion. The chief secretary, who heard his case, is said to have responded positively. Sources said that he even offered to transfer Mathai from Sakala Mission.
