Chinmay shines in SUCC (2) victory

Chinmay NA shone with bat and ball for Swastic Union Cricket Club (2) as they entered the semifinal of the KSCA Group I, Division I, II, III under-16 inter-club tournament after taking a first innings lead in their drawn encounter against Bangalore United Cricket Club (1) here.

Bangalore United batted first and were restricted to 113 in 53.1 overs thanks to Chinmay’s brilliant figures of eight for 25.

He then top-scored with 52 as Swastic Union posted 268/8 in their 90 overs.
Jay Borah also contributed with a handy knock of 40.

Anirudh Rao was chief destroyer for Bangalore United returning figures of five for 71.
In their second innings, Bangalore United had reached 81 for one in 20 overs when the match was called off.

The other sides that progressed to the last four are Vultures Cricket Club, Jawahar Sports Club and Herons Cricket Club.

In the another game, Young Lions Club and Vultures Cricket Club played out a draw.

Young Lions Club: 191 all out in 87 overs (Sai Samarth 74, Prajwal 25, Aditya Mani 26; Kushal 2-44, Shray 4-16) drew Vultures Cricket Club: 206 all out in 44.1 overs (Prateek KL 106, Smaran 36; Gagan 2-32, Paras 5-33).

Jawahar Sports Club (1): 191 all out in 85.5 overs (Sayan Arjun 57, Omkar Vernekar Uday 36; Nitish Gowda 3-47, Siddharth NG 5-38) drew Social Cricketers: 172 all out in 74.1 overs (Akshan Rao 73 n.o., Nitish Gowda 27; Vishal Tej Gowda 3-28, Lankesh KS 3-26).
Bangalore Occasionals: 181/7 in 66.4 overs (Anirudh 31, Manoveer Singh 41, Vishwas 31, Sashikumar 25; Aditya Kaushik 2-31, Vishruth Dev 2-13) lt to Herons Cricket Club: 94/6 in 30 overs (Rahul Kulkarni 37; Suhan Hede 2-37, Shash Kumar 2-5) by spin of a coin.
