Deepali Ganore murder case: Son who drew smiley in blood arrested from Jodhpur

 A 21-year-old son of Mumbai inspector Dnyaneshwar Ganore,  whose wife was found dead at their residence in Mumbai on Tuesday was arrested in Jodhpur on Thursday. According to the police he has confessed the killing his own mother.

According to the Jodhpur Police the boy was found in a hotel room opposite railway station. SHO Uday Mandir Police Station said, "We received tip off from Mumbai police in the morning. Our team reached hotel Dhoom, which is opposite Jodhpur Railway station and we arrested him." As per the police, Siddhant boarded a random train from Mumbai railway station and he got down at Jodhpur. He had also stopped using his regular phone and was using a newly purchased mobile phone.

An engineering dropout, currently a student of Bachelor of Science at NM College confessed before the police that he killed his mother. While speaking to media , Siddhant said "My mother used to give me a lot of stress. She used to fight with my father on regular basis. She would be after my life. On Tuesday she was asking for a progress report card and i couldnt control my stress level, so i decided to kill her." A team from Mumbai police who also reached Jodhpur in the evening will be shifting the accused to Mumbai.

Deepali Ganore was found lying in a pool of blood with a knife besides her. The body was discovered by her husband, Inspector Dyaneshwar Ganore when he returned home from work on Tuesday at 3.30 am. The police discovered a writing in blood next to the body. A smiley was drawn in blood and it was written, "Tired of her. Catch me and hang me".

Dyaneshwar Ganore was a part of the first team to investigate the Sheena Bora murder case, which has now been transferred to the CBI.. Sheena was murdered in 2012 allegedly by her mother Indrani Mukerjea. Indrani's husband Peter is also a co-accused in the case. Both are currently lodged in jail.
