JOIN USDespite a fabulous batting display, Swastic Union Cricket Club (2) were held to a draw by Mount Joy Cricket Club in the KSCA Group I, Division I, II, III under-16 inter-club tournament here.
Batting first, Swastic Union piled a massive 414 for eight in their 90 overs courtesy a brisk 181 from Yashwant BN. His innings, which was studded with 21 boundaries, came off just 178 balls. Chinmay NA (66) and Jay Borah (64) also chipped in for Swastic Union with fifties.
Swastic Union’s bowling unit then stepped up to bundle out Mount Joy out for a paltry 85. Wrecker-in-chief Ayush bagged four for seven, while Aneeshwar took three for 14.
Aneeshwar then shone with the bat in Swastic Union’s second hit with a quick-fire 139 from 104 balls, finding an able ally in Ajitesh who struck 117 before the match ended in a draw.
