Cambridge emerge champions

A combined batting effort from Karan Umesh, Arsalaan and Swaroop powered Cambridge CC to a 94-run victory over Delhi Public School (South) in the final of the under-14 Tiger Cup here.

Karan’s 107 and valuable contributions of 55 not out and 80 not out from Arsalaan and Swaroop respectively meant that Cambridge set DPS an imposing 280-run target.

For DPS, Shiv emerged as the most succesful bowler with figures of 2/58.

In response, DPS could never get going and ended at 185 for nine in their quota of 30 overs. Sireesh top-scored with 46 runs. Aryan R (2/19) and Aarush (2/13) shone with the ball in Cambridge’s title winning effort.
