Shivam spurs Cambridge CC to title victory

Shivam M Singh slammed an unbeaten ton to fashion Cambridge Cricket Club’s resounding ten-wicket over Delhi Public School (South) in the final of the Tiger Cup (under-12) cricket tournament here at the Global Academy of Technology ground on Wednesday.

Batting first, DPS posted a competitive total 184 for seven in 30 overs as Aadesh top-scored with 79. Aadarsh was the next top run-getter with 30. Shree (2/35) and Hardik (2/41) got amongst wickets for Cambridge.

Cambridge, however, made short work of the target as Shivam came to the fore again. The in-form youngster remained unconquered on 106 as Cambridge replied with 186 for no loss in 23.1 overs.

He was well-supported by Hardik, who after claiming two wickets with the ball, struck an unbeaten 71 as DPS bowlers failed to make any sort of impact on Cambridge openers.
With this knock, Shivam took his run aggregate for the tournament to 483.
