One has to suffer severe consequences if attack on Hindus is not stopped, said Vishwa Hindu Parishat national joint secretary Surendra Kumar Jain.

He was delivering a keynote address during Hindu Samajotsava organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal at Hutatma Devapanda Kuttappa stage at Ashok Singhal Stadium in Nelyahudikeri, Siddapur on Friday.

Indian Muslims cannot be Jihadis, he said. The DNA examination has proved that they are Hindus converted to Islam. Even Muhammed Ghori and Ghazni were initially Hindus and were converted to Islam due to the threats and allurements. People like Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan cannot be models for the followers of Islam as they were engaged in religious conversions, murder of innocents, robbery and vandalising of religious places. One must follow the ideals of A P J Abdul Kalam and Capt Abdul Hamid.

He condemned the statement of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that he has consumed beef, even though there is ban on cow slaughter in Karnataka. If the chief minister is a secular person in reality, his actions should reflect it, he said.

He also criticised the move of the government of celebrating Tipu Jayanti and remembered the sacrfices of Devapanda Kuttappa, Nallatambu and Praveen Poojary.

Bajrang Dal Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Kshetriya Samyojak Suryanarayan said that if the Hindus try to protect their religion, it is being tagged as an act of religious intolerance.

Securalism is preached only to Hindus but why not to other religions, he wanted to know. Some religions have implemented their ideals in India forcefully, he added.

Vishwa Hindu Parishat Karnataka Dakshina Pranta working president Prof M B Puranik said that some political parties have been demeaning Hindu religion. Such will learn a lesson soon.

Earlier to the stage programme, a rally was taken out by the Hindu activists from Sri Ayyappa temple to Nelyahudikeri. Virapet MLA K G Bopaiah, Madikeri MLA Appacchu Ranjan also took part.

VHP Prakhand president Nanumanda Venu Machaiah, RSS former district Sangha Chalak Maccharanda Mani Cariappa and Aremeri Kalancheri Mutt pontiff Sri Shantamallikarjuna Swami were present.
