JOIN US Hockey Rajasthan booked their place in the semifinals of the 7th Hockey India Sub-junior National Championships (Division B) with a resounding 10-1 win over a listless Hockey Kerala at the Hockey stadium on Tuesday.
Vijendra Singh Rathore and Sachin were the star performers for the Rajasthan unit, scoring a hat-trick apiece to decimate Kerala.
Rathore scored his three goals in the third, 28th and the 42nd minutes while Sachin sounded the board in the 46th, 61st and the 67th minutes to complete his triple.
Danish (17th minute), Aniket Rawat (24th minute) and Pankaj Godara (48th minute) were the other scorers for Rajasthan. Ajeesh Reji scored the only goal for Kerala in the 13th minute.
In the semifinals after a day’s rest, Rajasthan will take on Mumbai Schools Sports Association while Namdhari XI will play Bengal Hockey Association.
In another match of the day, hosts Hockey Bengaluru ended their campaign with a 2-3 loss to Hockey HIM while Assam Hockey rode to a 21-1 win over Hockey Gujarat.
