JOIN USA 25-year-old woman who was brutally assaulted by her husband with a flat griddle pan almost rendering her blind with grievous head injuries, succumbed to injuries on Thursday at Baptist Hospital.
Tikina Radha, a native of Podrah in Odisha, came to the city a fortnight ago with her husband Prahlad Ojha to work as construction labourers. The couple were living in a rented house in Nagenahalli in Kothanur. Ojha suspected his wife’s fidelity and used to quarrel with her.
On Wednesday, Prahlad attacked her with the pan accusing her of talking to men. She sustained severe injuries in her eyes and head due to multiple blows to her head. She was rushed to a private hospital where she succumbed in the wee hours of Thursday, police said.
Kothanur police said a case of murder has been registered and efforts are on to nab Prahlad.
