Construction worker stabbed to death

A 38-year-old construction labourer was stabbed to death by a gang of men near Jyothinagar in HAL on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Raja, a native of Tamil Nadu.

Raja was on his way to his sister’s house when a gang assaulted him and stabbed him on the neck. The assailants took to heels as people gathered at the spot. A profusely bleeding Raja managed to walk for about 500 metres towards his sister’s house, but collapsed.

On getting information, the HAL police rushed to the spot and shifted Raja to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police said that the attackers had attempted to rob Raja of cash and valuables. The identity of assailants had been established and the police have launched a search to arrest them.Raja had come to Bengaluru to attend a ceremony at his sister’s house. The HAL police have registered a case.
