Trash not cleared in mayor’s ward
Garbage has been thrown on the main road of a busy junction in Rajajinagar 4th Block — the intersection of 2nd and 3rd main roads. Though our area is represented by the mayor, no action has been taken despite several complaints to the elected representatives.

BSNL lines dead 15 days a month
I have a BSNL landline and broadband connection with monthly fixed charges of Rs 1,090. The server stops working and the landline remains dead for almost 15 days in a month. But the BSNL billing section is very efficient and charges me Rs 35 a day for a connection that doesn’t work. Even the BSNL customer care numbers don’t work. BSNL must put in place a system that keeps the billing section informed about lines that are not working so that the customer is not automatically billed.

Expedite facelift to famous roads
Two of Bengaluru’s premier streets, Brigade Road and Church Street, are in the process of getting a makeover. The authorities must strive to complete the project expeditiously so that shopkeepers and shoppers are not inconvenienced.

Building materials dumped on road
Construction materials have been dumped on the road abutting two vacant sites (No 871 and 872) at 11th ‘A’ Cross, 1st Stage, 3rd Block, HBR Layout. A shed also has been built on the road. However, no construction has happened for almost a year. People dump garbage at the place. Streetlights have not been working for long. Motorists are put to inconvenience. The authorities have not taken any action.

Post traffic cop at RBI office
The subway opposite the RBI office on Nrupathunga Road has been closed for the past few months. The RBI staff and people visiting the bank and St Martha’s Hospital risk their lives to cross the road. I request for posting a traffic policeman outside the RBI office to help people cross the road until the subway reopens.

New bus shelters unused
Two bus shelters constructed recently on 30th main road in Banashankari 2nd Stage, between Deve Gowda petrol bunk and Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), remain unused. Buses do not stop at the new shelters, forcing passengers to wait at a place where there is no shelter.

Banashankari 2nd StageRoad not cleaned regularly
The road abutting a public park on 18th ‘B’ Main Road, 5th Block, Rajajinagar, is not cleaned regularly. The sweeper has not turned up in the last few days and despite repeated complaints to the officials concerned, no action has been taken as yet.

Dangerous service road
A two-way service road, running along the Outer Ring Road, was recently laid from Nagarabhavi Circle to Nayandahalli (west to east ).
This smooth and undulating road handles high-speed traffic. The problem is that eastbound motorists use both the lanes, unmindful of the fact that it is a narrow two-way service road, not a ring road. Vehicles coming from the Nayandahalli underpass and going towards residential areas, such as New Income Tax Layout and Vidyagiri Layout which adjoin this road, have to take a right turn, which is not devoid of danger because of the oncoming traffic.

I request the authorities to replace the existing disjointed white divider with a yellow line and instal solar studs. Suitable caution signboards also should be put up on both the sides and along the stretch.

Ply feeder buses to DLF New Town
People living around the rapidly developing township of Yelenahalli, Akshaya Nagar, Nyanappanahalli, Sugama Layout and DLF New Town have been facing commuting problems. While some buses do operate here, we request the BMTC to introduce a feeder (small) bus service from Yelenahalli/DLF New Town to Magnolia School, Bannerghatta Road. Three buses during peak hours and two during off-peak hours will immensely benefit the residents.

Expedite civic work on road
A stretch of around 100 feet near NCERT, Hosakerehalli, Banashankari 3rd Stage, has been dug for several months to carry out civic works. This stretch is located close to the traffic signal. There has been no progress in the work at least for a month now.
The road has shrunk due to digging, causing traffic jams. The authorities concerned are requested to expedite the work.

Garbage dump in park
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has been using a portion of a public park on 18th ‘B’ Main Road, next to National Public School, 5th Block, Rajajinagar, as garbage collection point. Elderly and sick cannot take a stroll in the park due to foul smell emanating from the garbage dump. The Palike is requested to close down this garbage collection point inside the park.

Bescom helpline not helpful
The Bescom has been resorting to load shedding for long hours on 1st Main Road, Indiranagar. But, the Bescom cannot be reached on its helpline 1912 nor is its WhatsApp number functioning properly. A busy tone is always heard on the helpline. What is the use of having a helpline when it of no help when most needed?

Road not asphalted
Paranjothy Cross Road in Fraser Town is in a very bad shape. The road has been neglected and the situation becomes worse during rains. While many roads in the locality were tarred recently, this particular road had been left out. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike is requested to asphalt this road at the earliest.

TenderSURE work delayed
The delay in completion of tenderSURE works on Modi Hospital Road has been leading to traffic chaos and air pollution.
The residents in the vicinity are inhaling dust and smoke for the past one year. Repeated complaints to BBMP officials and the local MLA have been of no help.

Modi Hospital RoadUrgent need for traffic signal
There is an urgent need for traffic signal  at the petrol bunk junction located after Abhinav theatre on Sanjaynagar Main Road. This will relieve frequent traffic jams caused due to uncontrollable vehicular movements at this junction.

Direct buses needed
There are no direct buses from Ashoka Pillar at Jayanagar towards Seshadripuram and Malleswaram. This makes it difficult for people who want to commute to these places, particularly during peak hours. One suggestion is that buses bound for Vidhana Soudha could be extended. Also, there are no direct buses towards Chamarajapet, Gandhi Bazaar and locations around them.

Road in Koramangala caves in
The road abutting Canadian Playschool and the entrance of the traffic intersection at 7th Cross, 8th Main Road, Koramangala 4th Block, which leads to Raheja Residency, has plunged about four feet down. I request the civic agency to repair it at the earliest to avoid accidents.
