Last Updated 06 March 2017, 17:34 IST

Lenders to Kingfisher Airlines, led by State Bank of India, failed to find any bidders for two of Vijay Mallya’s assets, namely the Kingfisher Villa in Goa and the Kingfisher House in Mumbai.

This is the third time that banks have not found any bidders for Kingfisher Villa. On the other hand, Kingfisher House was put under the hammer for the fourth time and did not find any buyers. Kingfisher Airlines, owned by Vijay Mallya, owes over Rs 9,000 crore to banks.

The consortium, led by SBI, had first tried to auction the Kingfisher House around a  year back on March 17, with the reserve price set at Rs 150 crore. Following this, the reserve price was reduced to Rs 135 crore in the second auction and subsequently to Rs 115 crore in the third auction.
