Bharath slams fifty

KN Bharath slammed 60 to help Karnataka post a modest 228 all out in 61.5 overs against Uttar Pradesh on day one of the Plate Division third-place match of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy here at the SDNRW stadium on Sunday. 

The Karnataka batsmen failed to convert their starts with skipper D Nischal’s 35 being the second highest score. Vishal Choudhary, with figures of six for 63, was the wrecker-in-chief.
In response, the visitors were 75 for three at stumps. 

J Suchith picked up two for 15 while Bharath (1/2) bagged a wicket.
