ADL to expand operations

 Anand Diagnostic Laboratory (ADL), a city-based provider of reliable, fast and affordable diagnostic services, is expanding its operations pan Karnataka with the opening of labs in Mysuru, Mangaluru and Belgavi by March.

Speaking about the expansion plans with DH, Anand K, CEO, Anand Diagnostic Laboratory (ADL), said, “We will be investing about Rs 4 crore in setting up these labs, with total area of 7,500 sq feet. We will be hiring more than 75 people with 50 technicians in the next two months. Besides, we will open 50 collection centres across the state.”

With 12 centres in Bengaluru, being visited by about 3,000 patients a day, ADL has also expanded its presence in neighbouring states like Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. “While in Hyderabad we have opened a green field facility, in Tamil Nadu we have entered into a strategic collaboration with a diagnostic lab,” he said.

At present ADL has a strength of 350 people, with 250 technicians and 10 pathologists. In Karnataka, ADL has tied with 450 hospitals, nursing homes and laboratories. Recently it has started home collection services with 10 collection boys in Bengaluru.

“We are looking at expanding this Anand@Home service to reach out to more patients in the city, as we see 20% growth in the collection of samples,”Anand added.

“We have spent over Rs 20 crore on equipment and continue to invest on new tools, and help clinicians to take quick and appropriate decisions,” he added. Recently, ADL has expanded its reach to global markets through a strategic collaboration in Dubai.
